Snowflake Challenge 2023, Day 10
Almost forgot to do this one!!
Five Things I'm Looking Forward To Releasing In 2024:
1) Lovesick Darlings is an Australia-based slice of life/romance/drama visual novel I backed on kickstarter a few years ago which will be finally coming out this March!! I just tried out the newest demo recently and it's even better than I remembered: realistic and geeky and sincere and full of genuinely difficult questions that perfectly capture the awkwardness of teenage life! (Also the creator is a fan of both Ace Attorney and Genealogy of the Holy War so that is some A+++ taste right there <333)
2) Queerz! Speaking of kickstarters, I backed this two years ago and while I got the PDFs last year (and loved them to bits!!), the physical box is finally shipping out in february! It's a TTRPG focused about being campy, positive sentai fighters who use Rainbow Empathy to fight the Ignorance of the Jusice Knights!! Yes, it's just as silly as it sounds, but it's so upbeat and fun and has some of the most free-form and imaginative character creation I've ever encountered!
3) The sixth and final season of What We Do In The Shadows! I fell in love with this show and binged most of it on two long plane flights late last year, but by the time I got to the most recent season I got distracted by other things so I still haven't entirely caught up. But once I'm freer I'm really really looking forward to doing so because it's such an incredibly funny show with some of the exact kind of queer representation I really needed (both loveable kinky poly bisexuals AND terrible emotionally repressed Will They Won't They mlm!!) and I'm dying to see Nandor and Guillermo finally have their toxic yet strangely heartwarming kiss <3
4) 100 Kanojo season two! I watched the first anime season on a whim after hearing it was a funny parody and actually completely fell in love with it, enough that I devoured the manga (though I'm still not QUITE caught up hahaha hashtag story of my life...) and have dived into the fandom for it on Reddit! My best girl (Uto <333) still has a few anime seasons to be introduced, but I'm very looking forward to seeing Mei, Iku, Mimimi, Meme, and Kurumi animated! <3
5) The new Akatsuki album, complete with new Souma solo!!!! It should be coming out pretty soon, right around Valentine's, and I'm soooooooo looking forward to hearing the new songs and holding that CD in my hands <333
...and then, Five Things I Hope To Complete in 2024 :'D
1) Fire Emblem Engage! I'm approaching the end and it's still just such a fun game to play in terms of gameplay alone <3
2) I said above that I need to finish What We Do In The Shadows, but I also still need to catch up on season 2 of Good Omens!
3) The Great Ace Attorney 2! I played and finished the first last year, and I'm partway through the second case of the second. I'm really enjoying it (as always for AA!), and looking forward to figuring out all the mysteries and finally being able to read spoiler tagged AA threads again :'D (apart from Investigations 2 which I also never finished hahah;;; Someday!!)
4) I'm still catching up with all the different Touhou games and characters! Not playing them myself because I. suck at them :'D But I'd like to at least learn about all the characters!
5) Reading through the Legend of the Five Rings base book! Another TTRPG I've highly enjoyed; I'm sorta stuck in the skills section right now so I'll probably skim on until I get to the more substantial stuff. But it's so perfect to have this really politics-focused samurai setting!

I finished Good Omens, What We Do In the Shadows and Our Flag Means Death in one long, miserable weekend and now I'm bereft with feeeeeeeeelings and loss. ❤️❤️
Take your time. Enjoy. ❤️

And oh dear - that sounds like a life-altering experience :'DD That's probably how I'll do Good Omens, at least - call up my GO-megafan friend and watch that whole (so I've heard) cycle of triumph and deep despair all over one tumultuous evening :'D
