So, I tend to rec my favourite fanfics at fancake - and I just recently recced a bunch of faves for Amnesty back in December - so I thought I'd do something a bit different and rec some fandom-relevant youtube channels/series! (Members of the 'must be watching something while eating meals' gang, where are you?!)

Ace Attorney
Mornal: incredibly good animations and voice work!

Drag Race
RunnerEye: a pretty new Youtuber, but his editing and humour are top-notch!
JackFed: very measured and insightful Drag Race videos always explained really clearly!

Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy Union: heaps of videos analysing and sharing info on the Final Fantasy series!
Can I Beat FFX with Auto-Battle and Attack Only?: for a challenge that sounds very boring, this is surprisingly interesting, really demonstrating the use an importance of various equipment in the game!
MirandaLemons: lots of FF Let's Plays and some challenges, mainly focusing on FFX and X-2!

Fire Emblem
Scarf: very new but super underrated maker of FE shitposts and info vids
Excelblem: started out with shitposts, now not only does fun let's plays (viewable either in long form or hilarious summary shorts) but some of the most ridiculous insane challenge mods imaginable (he beat FE8 with all characters modded to have 0 strength!)
Merth: funny Fire Emblem and also Touhou shitposts!
Gay Fates as hosted by Chicken Mcnuggies: Gay Fates and Gay Awakening are hacks to allow for not only queer marriage, but also a whole host of new user-written support conversations! The project was previously run on tumblr by UnassumingVenasaur but has been taken over; all Fates support conversations currently implemented in-game can be watched here.
Failure Emblem: a fun playthrough of Three Houses with every unit switched to their 'worst' class.
Teegee: more fun and weird Fire Emblem challenge playthroughs!
Faerghast: very insightful and in-depth videos about the Fire Emblem franchise.
Halvey: once again, more really interesting info videos!!

Mario Party
Identifying Luck by Zoomzike: do you love very long-form videos rigorously analysing video game mechanics and strategies? Then this series is a must-watch.

Pokemon
BigYellow: also does vids about fighting games and lego pieces, but mainly known for super funny and informative analysis videos about Pokemon RBY competitive!
Freezai: really short, sharp, and clear videos about competitive Pokemon.
WolfeyVGC: very high production quality videos from a very good Pokemon competitive VGC player
Pulse Effects: fun and informative videos about Pokemon speedrunning history!
NathanLikesChicken: hasn't posted in a while but some very fun Pokemon competitive videos.
Johnstone: iconically ambitious Pokemon game challenges and deep-dives!

The Simpsons
TheRealJims: an absolute treasure trove of incredibly insightful and balanced videos about anything and everything relating to The Simpsons.

The Sims
Lilsimsie: just an eternal beacon of sunshine and cheer!! Her building videos can always make me smile <3

Steven Universe
The Case for Steven Universe: you know that absolutely terrible and bad-faith 'Steven Universe sucks and here's why' video? This series does a deep dive into every disingenuous argument it makes and why Steven Universe is so much better than it's been made out to be.

Touhou
Cindersquad: some really useful Touhou game explain videos that make a fantastic introduction to the franchise!

Yu-Gi-Oh
Ten Hours of the Worst Yu-Gi-Oh Cards to Fall Asleep To: I don't even go here hahaha but this is indeed a very calming analysis video. :)
